Cookie Policy

Last updated: 4 October 2026

This policy explains the cookies, browser storage and tags CarTrace uses. You choose per category in the consent banner — Analytics and Marketing are off until you switch them on — and can change your choice any time via “Cookie settings” in the footer.

Cookie categories

Cookies, tags and services we use

Analytics and marketing tags load only after you switch on their category; each category is separate, so allowing analytics does not allow marketing. Google Analytics is IP-anonymised; Microsoft Clarity records how pages are used (clicks, scrolling, mouse movement), with what you type into forms masked. The Trustpilot invitation script runs only on the page you return to after paying, sets no cookies of its own and keeps two entries in browser storage; switching Marketing off removes them.

Embedded players

Camera streams and videos are played by their providers (YouTube in its privacy-enhanced mode, Windy webcams). A player is loaded only when you open it, and its provider may then set its own cookies under its own policy.

Managing your choice

On your first visit we show a banner with equal “Accept all” and “Reject all” options, and “Settings” to choose per category. Nothing in a category loads until you allow it. Reopen your preferences at any time with “Cookie settings” in the footer; if you withdraw a category, its cookies and browser storage are removed and the page reloads without it. We ask again whenever we add a category or a service with a new purpose.
