CarTrace is launching: everything is free until 1 January 2027

CarTrace is live. To mark the launch we are doing something simple: until 1 January 2027, everything is free. No card, no trial that quietly turns into a subscription, and nothing you use now is ever charged later.
We want as many drivers and buyers as possible to see what a complete car check looks like. When we compared CarTrace with the car-check apps and paid reports we could find, none of them gave as much data for free. For the next three months, it all costs nothing.
What is free during the launch
- The complete CarCheck report for every free account: the findings of the last APK inspection and the inspection history, recall alerts from the European, German and US registers, the full theft-risk breakdown, and photos and video of the model.
- A free PDF report every month to keep, print or send to a seller.
- Compare up to ten cars side by side, with the same data for every car.
- Report a stolen car for free. Our team checks every listing before it goes live on the register.
- Everything that was already free stays free: the registration data and specifications, APK expiry, the stolen-vehicle check, insurance status, the estimated value and the monthly cost of the car.

Anyone can check a plate without signing in and still gets the free check. The full report and the PDF need a free CarTrace account, because the report is saved there for you and because it keeps the offer fair: one person, one account. Creating one takes a minute and asks for an email address, which you confirm with a code.

Nothing you did during the launch is charged afterwards. Reports you opened stay in your account for their normal 60 days, and a PDF you downloaded is yours. Any prices that apply after the launch will be announced on this blog and on the pricing page before they apply.
What is not changing
Leo, our AI car advisor, works exactly as before, with the same monthly message allowance for a free account. My Garage keeps your own car and its APK, recall and value alerts, also as before.
